The close of duck season does not have to mean the end of having fun with your hunting retriever companion and fellow waterfowl enthusiasts!
Join Southern Flight HRC for a fun filled day of dog training, swapping hunting stories and seeing some amazing retrievers do what they do best! It is open to all ages and levels - dog and human!
Whether you are a kid, or a kid at heart.... have a well trained eight year old titled retriever or a puppy that is doing a good job of training you, come on and join the fun! Club members and professional dogs trainers will be available to help you with some ideas and to answer questions. We will have opportunities for you to run Finished level set-ups and blinds as well as Started (beginner) level marks. Since we are coming out of the end of duck hunting season, some of our retrievers may have gotten a little loose at the line so we will have several honoring opportunities as well.
Kids love to see the dogs work and they will have the chance to work with some dogs too if they want. There will be several experienced dogs available to help teach new handlers a few things too! If you think your puppy is too young for something like this, think again. It is a great opportunity for you to socialize your retriever and work on some obedience!
Bring the family, a chair, your hunting retriever and be prepared to have a good time! Dressing in camo is a plus but any dark colored clothing is perfectly fine. A hamburger lunch with all the fixings will be provided by Southern Flight!
Location: Online Labs 451 Mississippi 310 Como, MS 38619 Steve Vires, with Online Labs, has been gracious enough to offer his property for this training event. The club appreciates Steve's generosity!

Unfortunately, Holiday Lodge will be closed this Saturday due to a death in the family of an employee. (The Lodge is open but will just not be open this Saturday.)
