Southern Flight HRC is proud to host this Fall's hunt test and for many reasons, one of which will make a difference to an HRC family that has recently suffered a terrible loss. We hope you will take a moment to read about our benefit hunt test and see how everyone involved can make a difference for a family.
As a club, we are donating all proceeds of the 2015 Fall Hunt test to a very special family. Many of you know, or have heard of, Glenn and Marinda Dye. Glenn is the current HRC Treasurer and was a founding member of Southern Flight HRC. Much of our club's tradition can be traced back to these founding leaders like Glenn. Glenn's son, Christopher Dye, died unexpectedly June 13th leaving behind a wife and three young children. Southern Flight HRC wants to help this family, just as Glenn and his family have helped our club and the national HRC organization. We would love to raise a record amount of money at the Fall hunt test.
All profits from the test will be donated to Glenn's grandchildren and daughter-in-law. The club is also accepting donations that will go directly to this family. The Saturday night social will be packed with good food, a raffle and a silent auction. Th s ed its spring hunt test at Grenada Lake in Grenada, MS. The club offers many thanks to the handlers who chose to run our hunt test this spring. Rain aside, we hope you enjoyed the grounds, the tests and the fellowship.
How can you help?
There are many ways that you can help!
1.) Run a dog, or several, in our hunt test! Each entry will help raise money for this family. We have Started, Seasoned and Finished level flights open. Bring your favorite canine hunting companion and have a great weekend!
2.) Make a donation by "entering" an honorary dog through www.HuntSecretary.com. You can use your Hunt Secretary account to "enter" a dog and pay by credit card.
3.) Make a financial contribution. Checks or money orders can be made payable to the Christopher Dye Memorial Fund. Donations can be mailed with your entry fees or separately to our club Treasurer, Cris Crippen at the address below. 100% of all donations to the fund will go to this family.

4.) Sponsor a part of the hunt test. Some ideas may be to sponsor a hunt test flight... the food for lunches or dinners... drinks.... ice.... Contact the Hunt Chair or Hunt Secretary for ideas and details.
5.) Provide items for the raffle and silent auction! This can be a fun thing to do! Do you have a great place to hunt that you would raffle off a free hunt to help this family? What about an item that hunting retrievers and owners can all use that could be donated? Contact the club's Hunt Secretary or Chair if you would like to donate items!
6.) Help out at the hunt test! There are many different ways that you and your family can help during the weekend. Every set of helping hands makes for a fun filled weekend! From setting up Friday to taking down Sunday and everything in between. Every minute of your donated time is appreciated whether it be a couple of hours or the entire weekend. Contact the Hunt Chair if you would like to help.
A very special thanks to our judges who will be giving us some great tests to run!

The SFHRC Saturday Night Banquet
The SFHRC Saturday night banquet and raffle are always fun. Click the photo to see more pictures from a past banquet!
The SFHRC Saturday night banquet and raffle are always fun but this fall's banquet will be extra special.
We will have a raffle plus a silent auction at the banquet. Silent auction items will be on display at the Lodge at Fitch Farms on Saturday. Be sure to stop by throughout the day and at lunch to see the items available.
The ribbon ceremonies are held at the banquet. It is always fun to see who got their first pass, who has hit a points milestone or who titled their hunting retriever. Seeing the first started pass for a brand new handler is always heart warming too! So, be sure to stick around for the banquet which will be held at the Fitch Farms Lodge.
Directions: From Holly Springs, MS – Go west on Hwy. 4 for 6.5 miles to Laws Hill Rd. Go south 1.7 miles to Thomas Rd., and then 1.8 miles to the Plantation. Look for Fitch Farms signs along with SFHRC signs.
